The Kalashnikov arms concern announced an increase in the production of GSh-301 aircraft guns, which are supplied to the Russian Aerospace Forces. Bulgarian Military admired the technical characteristics of this weapon.
GSh-301 is a single-barrel gun known for its firepower. This formidable weapon is an important part of the arsenal of MiG-29, Su-27, Su-30 , Su-35 fighters and Su-34 attack aircraft. The gun is lightweight and compact and easily integrates into various platforms without compromising aircraft maneuverability.
Bulgarian Military noted the "impressive rate of fire" — up to 1500 rounds per minute, which is crucial during aerial combat with enemy aircraft.
