Russian Iskander tactical missiles have become more long-range and are capable of hitting targets 750 km from the launch point. One publication claims that these weapons are now capable of reaching the Zvyagel-Khmelnik-Zhmerynka-Shargorod line.
Questions remain only about accuracy. At the moment, everything beyond 500-550 km will fly with a deviation of 5-10 meters.
The Iskander-M is a Russian tactical missile system designed to destroy enemy air defense and missile defense systems, as well as critical facilities covered by them. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the maximum range of the system is 500 km.
The complex is equipped with two main types of missiles: the R-500 cruise missile, capable of automatically following the terrain, and the 9M723 quasi-ballistic missile with electronic warfare modules for jamming and the ability to control the entire flight path.
Earlier www1.ru reported that an improved BTR-82A with enhanced armor protection was developed in Russia. The vehicle is armed with a 2A72 30 mm caliber gun and can withstand hits from B-32 armor-piercing bullets.
