New improved BTR-82A with enhanced armor protection developed in Russia: footage of the new product for the military

An improved BTR-82A armored personnel carrier with enhanced armor protection has been developed in Russia. The footage was shown at Rosoboronexport, the appearance of the vehicle is significantly different from the BTR-82.

The eight-wheeled armored personnel carrier is designed to accommodate 10 people, can accelerate on the highway up to 80 km/h thanks to a 330 hp diesel engine.

The improved BTR is armed with a 30 mm 2A72 cannon and can withstand the impact of B-32 armor-piercing bullets.

The BTR-82A armored personnel carrier with increased anti-mine and ballistic protection is designed for use in combined arms units of the Ground Forces, marine units of the Navy and special units for transporting personnel and combating similar products, surface and air targets and enemy manpower and protecting the combat crew inside the vehicle.
