Active production of domestic base stations for 4G and 5G communication networks will begin in 2025 as part of the federal project "Domestic Solutions". This was announced by the Minister of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, Maksut Shadaev, at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.
The development of these stations will allow Russian operators to be provided with high-tech equipment, which will reduce dependence on foreign technologies.
It is expected that by 2027, the share of domestic base stations of GSM, LTE and 5G standards will reach 33%. This is an important step in the strategy for developing an independent telecommunications infrastructure in Russia.
