Russian military forces on the front lines have likely used the ODAB-9000 vacuum bomb, unofficially known as the "father of all bombs," for the first time. This super-secret munition is considered the most powerful non-nuclear bomb in the world in terms of its characteristics.
Military correspondent Andrei Rudenko also wrote in his Telegram channel that it was, "apparently, an ODAB-9000." In his opinion, "no one was left alive within the affected radius."
It should be noted that there is no munition with the abbreviation ODAB-9000 in the current nomenclature of Russian aerial bombs, but there are FAB-9000-M54 and FAB-9000.
Well-known TV presenter Olga Skabeeva clarified in her Telegram channel that the Russian Armed Forces actually used a FAB-1500.
False alarm: it's not about ODAB-9000. Let's not mistake wishful thinking for reality. It's a FAB-1500, a thermobaric munition. Source — Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Military expert Vasily Dandykin noted that Tu-22M3 and Tu-160 missile-carrying aircraft could be carriers of the ODAB-9000. The expert reminded that the information about the use of ODAB-9000 has not been confirmed by the Ministry of Defense.
Earlier, Rostec reported that the American F-16 fighter is a typical target for the Pantsir-S1 SAM system. The system also confidently destroys Western low-observable Storm Shadow cruise missiles and high-precision rockets of multiple launch rocket systems.
