Россия готовит к пуску двухтысячную ракету Р-7

Launch Cosmodrome Not Yet Determined

The plans for the launch before the end of 2024 were announced by Dmitry Baranov, General Director of RCC Progress (part of Roscosmos State Corporation).

Speaking with a welcoming address at the III Sectoral Scientific and Practical Conference "Roscosmos Constellation: Trajectory of Science," which is taking place at Samara University named after Korolev, he stated that "in the fourth quarter of this year, that is, before December 31, we will definitely launch the two-thousandth R-7 type rocket." The cosmodrome for the anniversary launch has not been determined: it could be Plesetsk, Vostochny, or Baikonur.

R-7 is a family of Soviet and Russian launch vehicles. Carriers of this family have been in operation since 1957 - thanks to them, all manned launches in the history of domestic cosmonautics have been carried out. Russia operates the modifications Soyuz-2.1a (for manned launches), Soyuz-2.1b, and Soyuz-2.1v.

Earlier it became known that the Soyuz launch vehicles will be launched five more times before the end of 2024. They will be launched from the Plesetsk, Baikonur, and Vostochny cosmodromes.
