On September 28, a technical failure occurred in the operation of "Yandex" services, which led to unauthorized debiting of funds from users. According to one of the service's clients, as reported to "Kommersant", when paying through "Yandex Split" and "Yandex Pay", more than 800 thousand rubles were debited from him for one transaction due to repeated transactions.
The "Yandex Pay" support service reported that the erroneous debits were caused by a technical failure. The company's specialists are manually canceling incorrect withdrawals, so the process may take several days. Users of "Yandex Taxi" also faced the problem of erroneous debits for trips.
"Yandex" assured that they have already solved the technical problems that led to additional withdrawals from users of the services. Service employees expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and assured that they would take all necessary measures in the future to prevent such incidents.
However, a source in the field of cybersecurity told "Kommersant" that the cause of the failure was technical work on updating the software, which was carried out on the weekend. At the same time, a cyberattack was carried out on the company's systems, which led to disruption of services.
Earlier www1.ru reported that "Yandex Lavka" launched express delivery of medicines. Service clients can purchase products from the assortment of pharmacies of the 36.6 and Gorzdrav networks. In total, about 3000 items are available. The assortment includes only over-the-counter drugs.
