АвтоВАЗ объяснил, почему кросс-версии LADA Vesta не оснащаются полным приводом

Due to the car's ground clearance, such an option would make sense

Discussions periodically arise online about why LADA Vesta cars, especially in the cross-version, are not equipped with all-wheel drive. This makes sense, since the cross-versions of the car have a ground clearance of 203 mm. AvtoVAZ explained the reason.

It turned out that it is unprofitable to produce all-wheel drive cars. AvtoVAZ explains this by the fact that the car belongs to a budget price niche, where all-wheel drive cars are unpopular. They also cite foreign manufacturers as an example, who for a long time produced "B" class cars in Russia, but never dared to create at least one all-wheel drive model.

Note that among foreign cars present on the Russian market, there are alternatives to LADA Vesta. This is the not very popular Changan Alsvin, the cost of which starts from 1,570,000 million rubles, as well as the Chevrolet Cobalt, which began to be sold through alternative channels. The price of the Uzbek sedan (they are assembled at the Asaka plant in a complete cycle) starts from 1.5 million rubles.
