Yandex Updated "Alice Pro": New Features for Family Interaction

"Alice" will help parents manage children's time and remind them of important tasks

Yandex has released a major update to the "Alice Pro" option, which expands the functions available to users and adds new features for family interaction.

Now, owners of all smart devices with "Alice" can use the "Family Beacon," which allows family members to contact you by simply saying, "Alice, call the family." The assistant will send a notification to the phone, making communication more convenient. In addition, the update includes a voice activity detector that allows "Alice" to remind a child of important tasks if she hears his voice nearby. For example, if a child missed the notification setting for the start of the game, the virtual assistant will be able to call him to play.

New features of "Alice" also include setting up regular reminders for the whole week through the "House with Alice" application. This allows parents to easily manage their children's time, not forgetting important tasks. Another nice feature is the ability to wake up to music. Users can set a schedule according to which "Alice" will wake up the child and do exercises with him, as well as choose a melody for the alarm signal, which makes the morning more pleasant.

Since September 30, 2024, emotional synthesis has become available to owners of all smart devices with "Alice," which was previously implemented on the new "Station Lite 2." This innovation allows "Alice" to express emotions in her voice, which adds more depth to communication with the user.

Since its launch, the "Alice Pro" option has gained more than a million subscribers. It is available to "Yandex Plus" subscribers for 100 rubles per month. The debut of "Alice Pro" took place on April 10, 2024, and since Yandex provides 180 free days for new users, the first subscription payments will begin only on October 7.
