The "Warrior Expo 2024" military and tactical equipment exhibition was held in Moscow at the Tishinka Exhibition Center, where products from more than 50 domestic manufacturers were presented. NPF TEHINKOM presented its "Granit Br4", "Granit Br4+", "Granit Br5+" armor panels, which are created at NPF TEHINKOM using its own multi-stage molding technology. Armor panels are made of ceramic tiles made of aluminum oxide and composite based on UHMWPE.
Armor panels are part of the protective composition for the user. This includes not only the armor panel, but also a fragmentation screen with a V50% parameter of at least 550 m/s and a CAP, and it is when using protection in a complex that the maximum life-saving effect is achieved.
All three types of armor panels can be installed in both the chest and back sections of a bulletproof vest or plate carrier due to their ergonomic shape and two-plane bend. Depending on the modification, they weigh from 2.5 to 3.7 kg.
According to representatives of NPF TEHINKOM, all "Granits" of their production have:
- high operational resistance;
- separate solutions to minimize the effect of lateral ejection in marginal lesions;
- the ability to maintain its properties when repeatedly dropped on a hard surface;
- the ability to maintain its properties at low and high temperatures in the range from -50 to +50 degrees Celsius;
- minimum distance between the centers of damage of at least 70 mm and at least 20 mm from the edge of the armor panel;
- a composite ceramic layer that consists of individual segments. This helps to avoid severe damage when hitting the armor panel and increases its survivability.
It is noted that by the beginning of 2024, the manufacturer has already produced more than 1 million armor panels of various classes in more than 20 years of operation.
It is worth noting that during the "Warrior Expo 2024" exhibition, a forum dedicated to military affairs, tactics, weapons and equipment was also held. It was attended by developers of Russian equipment, volunteers of humanitarian missions, rescuers, and rehabilitation psychologists.
