Yandex Go has published a report detailing the measures taken to improve the safety of electric scooter trips. Since 2022, the company has invested 380 million rubles in creating parking infrastructure, developing safety technologies, and installing license plates on personal mobility devices.

Yandex Go creates its own scooters and technologies for maintenance and operation. They undergo scheduled inspections, including battery testing.

The company emphasized that more than half of the personal mobility device users are new.

In 2024, Yandex continued to develop safety infrastructure for scooter users, increasing the number of slow and restricted zones in places where traffic may be unsafe. Now, the Yandex Maps application marks 1,300 slow zones with speed limits and 300 zones where personal mobility devices cannot be used. These figures are 20% higher than last year. This demonstrates the company's ongoing commitment to user safety.

An important update was the ability to build routes on a scooter in the application. The path is built taking into account slow and restricted zones. In addition, in the event of weather anomalies (tornado, rain, hurricane), the application automatically warns the user, reduces the speed of the scooter, or temporarily closes access to rental.

According to the service's statistics, more than 99% of scooter trips are completed without incident. In case of violations, fines are applied. During the 2024 season, more than 120,000 sanctions were applied, including fines for improper parking (500 rubles), riding two people on one scooter (3,000 rubles), and other violations.
