AvtoVAZ suspended the assembly of LADA Vesta cars on September 25, according to insiders.
The assembly line was stopped in the morning, and production did not resume in the second shift either. The reason was a problem with the supply of gearboxes, which led to a temporary suspension of work. The staff was reassigned to other divisions of the plant.
Despite the temporary difficulties, AvtoVAZ previously stated that LADA Vesta continues to increase its market share, returning lost options. In sales, the emphasis is shifted towards station wagon versions, especially the SW Cross, which is increasingly becoming an alternative for crossover buyers.
