In 2025, Russia will complete the construction of a new workshop for the production of domestic "Silant" forklifts. It is expected that this will increase the production of loaders to 1000 units per year by 2026. This was reported by the press service of the Chuvash Machine-Building Cluster. The need to create domestic production is due to the fact that today 99% of the forklift market in Russia is occupied by Asian companies, which makes import substitution critical.
Stanislav Chertoryzhsky, Deputy Head of the Department of Agricultural, Food and Construction-Road Engineering of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, in an interview with "Газета.ру", emphasized that in order to ensure the stable functioning of the industry, it is necessary to develop domestic production facilities for components. He noted that creating our own production base is the only way to minimize risks, and this requires the joint efforts of all market participants, including the development of local suppliers.
The Cheboksary Plant of Power Aggregates (ChZSA) is actively working to expand its production capabilities, building a new workshop with an area of more than 4 thousand square meters. This project, which will be completed in mid-2025, is an important step towards the development of domestic mechanical engineering and reducing dependence on foreign technologies.
Alexander Dmitriev, General Director of ChZSA LLC, noted that based on the experience of cooperation with foreign partners, Russia will have to develop its technologies independently.
