The new Russian Progress MS-30 space truck has been sent from RSC Energia to the Baikonur Cosmodrome for subsequent launch.
It has fully completed a cycle of autonomous testing of onboard systems and a series of electrical tests of service equipment and apparatus. After the completion of comprehensive, pneumatic-vacuum, and acceptance tests, as well as the outgoing inspection procedure, Progress MS-30 was loaded into a special railway transport unit.
When the space truck arrives at Baikonur, it will undergo another cycle of tests before launch: from leak tests in a space simulator to solar panel checks.
According to preliminary data, Progress MS-30 will go to the ISS in February 2025. Traditionally, the space truck will deliver equipment for experiments on the ISS, food, water, packages for astronauts, and other important cargo for staying in orbit.
