Russian units operating on the front lines are using heavy IFVs and APCs created in repair units on the battlefield, made on tank chassis.
In particular, on the base of the T-54/55, a protected troop compartment was installed in the rear of the turret, in which soldiers take cover while advancing to the attack site. At the same time, the tank itself received hinged \"reactive armor\" \"Kontakt-1\". In addition to the standard 100-mm gun and 7.62-mm machine gun, the tank also has a 12.7-mm \"Utes\".
On the chassis of the T-62 medium tank, the soldiers also made a heavy armored personnel carrier. The armored vehicle had its damaged turret dismantled, and a \"super-mangal\" was erected above the hull to protect against kamikaze drones.
In addition, a new vehicle was developed for the rifle brigade on the T-72 platform. The armored capsule with powerful screens provides invulnerability to personnel on the battlefield.
Earlier it became known that the Russian Armed Forces received new sniper rifles from the Lobaev Arms brand.
