The new Russian 5.45-mm belt-fed light machine gun RPL-20 will be presented at the ADEX 2024 defense industry exhibition. It will be held in Baku on September 24-26.
The novelty was developed by the Kalashnikov arms concern. The RPL-20 allows creating a high density of fire due to the use of a belt with a capacity of 100 or 200 rounds. At the same time, structurally, firing from the rear position of the moving system and barrel change are ensured.
Kalashnikov developed the RPL-20 in two versions: with barrel lengths of 415 and 590 mm. The machine gun has the possibility of installing a wide range of modern equipment and accessories, and is equipped with a folding telescopic buttstock with a shoulder rest and a lifting cheek.
