To effectively combat drones, it is possible to form mobile units equipped with 12.7-mm NSV Utes machine guns with thermal sights on the chassis of KamAZ, GAZ-66, and other platforms. This proposal was made by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
They should cover strategically important combat kits of the Russian Armed Forces in the amount of 25 to 35 vehicles, together with full-fledged Pantsir-S1 batteries for each such object.
According to him, this measure will not entail large expenses on the construction of object air defense barriers. Nevertheless, they are capable of stopping massive raids by enemy kamikaze UAVs.

- Mass of equipped belt (50 rounds) — 7.7 kg
- Technical rate of fire — 700-800 rounds/min
- Combat rate of fire — 80-100 rounds/min
