The Russian Bastion anti-ship coastal missile system successfully launched at a distance of 450 km. The new cruise missile has received, according to preliminary information, the index 3M86.

The issue of replacing the chassis for the enlarged product from the current MZKT-7390 produced in Belarus with the domestic BAZ is also being discussed.

The plans to modernize the Bastion became known back in January. According to the results of the tests, the range of hitting a surface target at a distance of 380 km, and a ground target at 450 km, has been confirmed.

Bastion Coastal Defense Missile System

The Bastion anti-ship missile system is a development of the MIC NPO Mashinostroyenia in two versions: the mobile Bastion-P and the stationary Bastion-S. The complex is designed to protect the sea coast.

It strikes surface ships of various classes and types operating as part of amphibious formations, aircraft carrier and ship strike groups, as well as ground radio-contrast targets and single ships in conditions of intense electronic and fire counteraction.

It takes about five minutes to deploy the Bastion. The main tool for hitting targets of the Bastion is the launcher of the mobile complex on the MZKT-7930 chassis, which has two Onyx missiles with a warhead weighing 300 kilograms. They travel a distance of up to 300 km at a speed of 680-750 meters per second.

Earlier, footage of the operation of "air motherships" for drones on the front line appeared online. UAV carriers of FPV drones are also equipped with repeaters for stable communication.
