AvtoVAZ is finalizing the HGH crossover based on the Lada Vesta. The first body is expected to be manufactured in December, according to the insider Telegram channel "Russian Automobile."
Lada HGH will be assembled on the first assembly line of AvtoVAZ, in the same area where Lada Vesta is currently produced. At the same time, the production of Lada Vesta will be moved to another area — A, which is currently not in use.
"All the necessary equipment has already been brought to line A, and the line is being prepared for the launch of Lada Aura. At the same time, the assembly of station wagons and crossovers will be moved to line B. This is optimization to increase the volume."
Earlier, www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ supported the government's plan to increase the recycling fee on imported cars in Russia. The phased increase in the fee is a "significant incentive" for foreign brands to invest more money in production in our country. The recycling fee will increase from October 1, first it will increase by 70–85% for cars and trailers, then it will be indexed.
