Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec) presented products from the domestic defense industrial complex at the Africa Aerospace & Defence 2024 exhibition. The company organized a unified Russian exposition, within which it presents more than 250 product samples.
Most of the exhibits already have successful experience in application and are being modernized taking into account the realities of modern combat operations. Rosoboronexport noted that modern armored vehicle protection systems are being exhibited for the first time on the African continent. Among them is the radio-absorbing material «Nakidka», which significantly reduces the radar and thermal signature of combat vehicles.
The company also showed the modernized Yak-130 combat trainer and modern Russian military transport and combat aircraft and helicopters. In the UAV segment, customers were presented with the Kub-E loitering munition, reconnaissance complexes of the Orlan family and S-350 Skat, and the Orion-E reconnaissance and strike UAV.
From small arms in the exposition are Dragunov and Chukavin sniper rifles, Kalashnikov assault rifles of the "two hundredth" series, the PPK-2000 submachine gun, and a wide range of pistols.
Currently, Rosoboronexport successfully cooperates with more than 40 African countries and is constantly expanding its presence on the continent.
Earlier, footage of the operation of "air motherships" for drones at the front line appeared online. FPV drone carrier UAVs are also equipped with repeaters for stable communication.
