August 2024 became a record-breaking month for the sale of used cars. In one month, 560,000 such cars were bought in Russia, which is 2.5% more than in July, and 1.6% more than in August last year.
Avtostat experts calculated that August was a record month in terms of the number of used cars purchased in the last three years. Prior to this, the maximum was set in November 2021, when Russians purchased 573.8 thousand used cars. And the highest sales figure was recorded in December 2014, when 604.3 thousand used cars were bought.
If we compare only the volumes of the secondary market for August of each year, then 2024 marked the best result. Never before in the last month of summer have Russians purchased so many used cars.
In the first eight months of this year alone, 3.85 million used cars were bought in Russia, which is 1% more than in the same period in 2023.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that AvtoVAZ officially announced the cost of Lada Vesta SW Cross in Techno trim. So far, this is the most expensive universal, the minimum cost of which is 2,116,000 rubles.
