An improved prototype of a domestic robot vacuum cleaner was developed at the Student Design Bureau of NUST MISIS. Its cleaning quality is close to manual: not a speck of dust remains in the corners or along the walls thanks to the innovative design of the device.
According to 2023 data, about 1.6 million imported robot vacuum cleaners enter the Russian market annually. Therefore, the creation of Russian technology is especially relevant. In addition, we solved the main problem of existing vacuum cleaners by embedding a suction mechanism across the entire width of the body, and not just in the center, so that cleaning in hard-to-reach places is better.
The robot also has self- обслуживается skills. It automatically replaces wet cleaning wipes without the participation of its owner. For this purpose, a special screw mechanism and mounting plates were printed on a 3D printer.
According to the press service of NUST MISIS, the inventors are developing digital control systems for the robot vacuum cleaner units.
