The Russian company Lidkor has introduced the first domestically produced portable blood analyzer for rapid diagnostics, called "Lidlab Angara EAK." This device, created in collaboration with technology partners, is designed for emergency medicine and has no analogues in Russia. It replaces imported devices used for blood parameter analysis.
"Angara EAK" is capable of performing rapid analysis of pH, blood gases, electrolytes, metabolites, and hematocrit in a single measurement. This is especially important for the diagnosis and monitoring of patients with respiratory failure, allowing for a quick assessment of oxygenation and the body's acid-base balance.
The device is compact in size (about 30 cm in length) and weighs 6.5 kg. It is equipped with a handle for easy carrying, a battery, and a touch screen. "Lidlab Angara EAK" can also automatically transmit data to the laboratory information system, which simplifies the information processing.
The device is intended for use in critical situations, such as intensive care units, ambulances, and "field" conditions. It allows for analysis at the patient's bedside and provides laboratory-quality results on the spot.
Lidkor has already received a registration certificate from Roszdravnadzor and is preparing for mass production, planning to produce more than 100 devices per year with the possibility of increasing volumes. A sample of the new analyzer will be presented at the Russian Congress of Laboratory Medicine at the Crocus Expo IEC from October 2 to 4, 2024.
