The company has introduced the Unisimka module, the first module in Russia for upgrading old Android smartphones, which supports up to 15 eSIMs. This module is designed for users who want to add support for embedded SIM cards (eSIM) to their old phones without built-in support for this technology.
To use Unisimka, simply insert the module into the SIM card slot of any smartphone with Android 9 and later, then install a special application. This will convert the old phone into an eSIM-enabled device. Previously, the ability to connect to eSIM was only available on new and expensive models.
Unisimka founder Anna Kashnitskaya noted that the company's goal is to make modern technologies more accessible. The module is designed for various categories of users, including frequent travelers, commercial transport drivers, and tourists. The developers believe that the limited availability of eSIM technology in Russia is due to the fact that it is only available in expensive smartphones.
