In 2024, one million applications for school enrollment were submitted through the public services portal in Russia, and 780,000 children were enrolled. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation.
This year, one million applications for the 1st grade were submitted through "Gosuslugi." Parents could send applications to several schools at once. In total, 780,000 children were enrolled - that's every second first-grader in the country.
In the first wave, almost 600,000 children were enrolled in schools, and in the second wave - 181,000 children. The most frequent users of this method of enrolling children in school were in St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Perm Krai, and the Republic of Tatarstan.
Enrollment in the 1st grade is available in all regions of Russia, except for Moscow and Moscow Oblast, whose residents can apply to schools on regional portals.
