Every Second First-Grader in Russia Enrolled in School Through "Gosuslugi"

In 2024, one million applications for school enrollment were submitted through the public services portal in Russia, and 780,000 children were enrolled, according to the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation.

This year, one million applications for 1st grade were submitted through "Gosuslugi." Parents could send applications to several schools at once. In total, 780,000 children were enrolled - that's every second first-grader in the country.

Nearly 600,000 children were enrolled in schools during the first wave, and 181,000 children during the second wave. This method of enrolling children in school was most frequently used in St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Perm Krai, and the Republic of Tatarstan.

Enrollment in 1st grade is available in all regions of Russia, except for Moscow and Moscow Oblast, where residents can apply to schools on regional portals.
