The Russian 2S19M2 "Msta-SM" self-propelled artillery unit on the front line has received a "Tsar-Mangal", made in the form of spaced armor, covering the turret of the self-propelled gun from kamikaze drones. The footage has appeared online.
Of interest is the unusual design of the movable screen installed above the howitzer. It changes its shape when the barrel is lowered or raised.
The crew has satellite navigation, an electronic map of the area, and a programmable loading mechanism at their disposal, as a result of which the rate of fire has increased to ten rounds per minute.
During the "simultaneous fire raid" mode, several shells fired from one gun along different trajectories simultaneously hit the target, for example, an enemy stronghold.
The maximum firing range of the "Msta-SM" with a rocket-assisted projectile is almost 30,000 m. The Krasnopol high-precision ammunition has proven itself well.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces used the Orion UAV with TKB-103 missiles. Thanks to laser guidance, the ammunition confidently demolishes tank turrets in battle.
