A new metro line has opened in the capital — Troitskaya. The length of the launched section — 8.3 km. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin shared the solemn news via video link.
The first section includes 4 stations — Novatorskaya, Peoples' Friendship University, General Tyulenev Street and Tyutchevskaya. You can transfer to the Big Circle Line at the first station. The opening of the section will reduce the load on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya and Sokolnicheskaya lines.
In the future, the Troitskaya line will run from the ZIL MCC station to the city of Troitsk, the length of the route will exceed 43 km. The new line will become one of the longest and will include 17 stations.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a new Potapovo metro station on the Sokolnicheskaya line opened in the capital.
