Производство систем ESC и ABS начнется на бывшем заводе «Роберт Бош Самара»

ABS and ESC production to be launched at NAMI plant in Samara

Production of electronic stability control (ESC) and anti-lock braking systems (ABS) will begin at the former "Robert Bosch Samara" plant (now known as "NAMI Innovative Components") in Samara. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, during the Eastern Economic Forum.

Currently, FSUE "NAMI", together with its subsidiary "NAMI Innovative Components", is actively installing equipment for setting up the production of ABS and ESC systems. At the same time, work is underway to configure the software for these systems at the NAMI Test Center. The launch of automotive component production at the plant in Samara is expected within six months.

Earlier, the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, mentioned that the automaker is considering purchasing ABS anti-lock systems from the Robert Bosch Samara plant, which was acquired by FSUE "NAMI".

Previously, Russian cars (in particular, LADA) were equipped with Bosch ABS systems, which were also produced in Russia – at the Robert Bosch Samara enterprise. However, Bosch left the country, and the plant, which had temporarily ceased operations, became the property of FSUE "NAMI".
