The systems have demonstrated their effectiveness and a wide range of combat capabilities

The 9K135 Kornet was created by the Tula Instrument Design Bureau and is one of the latest domestic developments in its class. It was originally developed as a man-portable ATGM for infantry. In this form, the system included a 9P163M-1 launcher on a tripod and transport and launch containers with 9M133 series missiles. In the combat position, the weight of the system is 55 kg.

In the future, various options for placing the ATGM on self-propelled chassis appeared. The simplest projects involved mounting a standard launcher on a suitable vehicle. The Kornet-D PU was also developed with a block of observation and control equipment, as well as four transport and launch containers.

9M133 missiles of all modifications have a similar design. They are made in a torpedo-shaped body with a diameter of 152 mm and a length of 1.2 m. In the head of the missile there are rudders that unfold in flight, and in the tail there are stabilizers of a similar design. The maximum wingspan is 460 mm. The weight of the missile, depending on the modification, reaches 26-29 kg.

Earlier www1.ru told about the advantages of the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system. The system creates a security dome with a radius of tens of kilometers over the protected object.
