Telegram под запретом: в Минпромторге переходят на новый мессенджер

Journalists have found out

Following the arrest of Pavel Durov in France, Russian officials are gradually abandoning the use of the Telegram messenger for official purposes. Journalists have learned that employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade are being required to switch to the domestic software product "Sreda". Telegram will only be allowed for personal use. Here are the details.

A letter requiring a switch to the "Sreda" program was allegedly sent to ministry officials in late August. It is claimed that this is necessary to "prevent information security threats." Such threats supposedly include the use of Telegram. Journalists have found out that officials continue to use Telegram for personal purposes.

Note that "Sreda" is a VK development. It's a messenger, calendar, and mail client. In addition, the software product has a file storage. "Sreda" also allows you to search for colleagues from different departments and units.

As a reminder, Durov was detained in France on August 24. He is prohibited from leaving the country. The reason was that the businessman refuses to cooperate with the French security forces on security issues, without providing Telegram user data. Durov's older brother, Nikolai, has been put on the wanted list.
