The Sirius University of Science and Technology has created a platform for finding drugs for the brain. It operates on the basis of artificial intelligence (AI), the university's press service reported.
The platform analyzes the behavioral reactions of zebrafish, which are physiologically and genetically similar to humans. AI also recognizes the profile of neurotropic drugs with an accuracy of up to 80%.
It is expected that the neural network will accelerate the development of new drugs for the brain, and also reduce the cost of preclinical studies by 100-150 times on zebrafish instead of rodents.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a virtual human cell had been developed at Sirius.
