Металлический палец для восстановления функций кисти руки создали в «Ростехе»

It can be used to work on a computer and hold small objects

The Rostec State Corporation has created a metal finger. With this prosthesis, it is possible to restore hand functions.

The prosthesis is printed on a 3D printer. It is made of aluminum. This material provides a strong and lightweight construction. It allows restoring the length of the finger and recreates natural grasping movements. When using the prosthesis, you can hold small objects or work at the computer.

An experienced sample of the product is being tested by a Russian military man who became an ambassador for the Metallist plant. This company developed the device. The prosthesis was first shown at the Army 2024 forum.

Its principle of operation is as follows: sensors are installed on a person's chest and back muscles. They read the potential of muscle work from the skin. The signal is transmitted to the prosthesis.

The model will go into small-scale production after successful tests.
