The Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Anton Alikhanov, launched the "High Molecular Polymers" complex in the Tula region. It is expected that the new production will give a powerful impetus to the industrial development of the region, the press service of the department reported.
Alikhanov recalled the importance of implementing national projects involving Russia's leadership in various industrial sectors.
And "Polyplast", and this plant in particular, is an example of such technological leadership.
The production of high molecular weight polymers was opened on the basis of the "Polyplast Novomoskovsk" enterprise. This is one of the largest plants in the country for the production of high-tech additives to concrete and building mortars, which improve their quality.
High molecular weight polymers include polyethylene, which is used to make coverings for greenhouses, bags, and pipes. Teflon is used as a non-stick coating for cookware. Polyvinyl chloride is used in the production of wallpaper, windows, doors, and rubbers are used to make rubber for car tires.
