The Sollers Group of Companies will begin producing cabover school buses in Russia. Insiders have learned about this. The foreign partner will be the Chinese company Ankai.
This firm, called Anhui Ankai Automobile, was founded in 1966. In the early 90s, the company launched licensed production of Setra buses. Currently, Ankai brand buses are known in more than 80 countries around the world.
Note that information that Sollers would develop buses appeared in July of this year. Presumably, the novelty will be shown to the public during the Eastern Economic Forum in September.
Sollers is already cooperating with Ankai in the production of tourist buses. In July, the Russian company introduced the SA9 bus, which will be assembled at the company's facilities in Vladivostok.
