Some Telegram and WhatsApp users are experiencing failures in the operation of the messengers. According to observations by www1.ru, this mostly concerns the mobile version of the application.
For example, a number of users are not getting updates in their chats and channels feed. There are no such problems in the desktop version of Telegram.
In addition, some WhatsApp users are complaining about failures in its operation, as evidenced by complaints on the Downdetector portal.
In particular, messages are sent with a long delay. The total number of complaints about the work exceeded 2 thousand.
The failure in the operation of messengers and a number of other services in Russia is associated with a DDOS attack, Roskomnadzor said. The attack was repelled, the services are restored.
Earlier www1.ru wrote about messages from sources that Roskomnadzor is testing the blocking of Telegram in Russia. It is assumed that this was the cause of the night interruption in access to the messenger last time.
