УАЗ модернизировал «Буханку» после слов, что ей не место на дороге

The improvements have led to a price increase of 20,000 rubles

The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has started selling an updated UAZ SGR, better known as the "Loaf." The vehicle, which has been produced since the late 1950s, has received an engine that meets the "Euro-5" standards. As a result, it has become more expensive by 20,000 rubles – the base version now costs 1.45 million rubles.

The engine that meets the "Euro-5" class is designated ZMZ-409055, while the "Euro-2" engine is ZMZ-40911. The power of both engines is 112 horsepower. It is worth noting that the 409 engine has been produced at the Zavolzhye Engine Plant since 2000. Its design is unified with the ZMZ-406 engine.

With the updated engine, the prices for the "Loaf" are as follows: the off-road vehicle with a single-row cab is available for 1.45 million rubles, the 9-seater bus for 1.54 million rubles, and the "Expedition" version for 1.745 million rubles.

It is worth noting that the modernization of the vehicle took place against the backdrop of the story that the "Loaf" does not belong on public roads. This was stated by the vice-president of the National Automobile Union, Yan Haitseer. In his opinion, this car is incompatible with today's time and safety. After that, the man complained of threats.

An unnamed UAZ representative later told reporters that it is incorrect to approach the "Loaf" with the measure of modern vehicles, and it is difficult to find an alternative to the car, especially if you take remote regions into account.
