A low-observable tactical missile with a cluster warhead, the S-71K "Kover," has been developed for the advanced Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter (project index T-50, NATO codename: Felon). Military expert Evgeny Damantsev drew attention to the new product.
The S-71K missile is equipped with inertial navigation and optoelectronic correlation systems, as well as GLONASS correction modules. The carrier aircraft transports it on external hardpoints.
It received a "beaver tail" nozzle block and dozens of kinks on the fuselage generatrix, which reduces its infrared signature by 3 - 5 times compared to the Kh-59MK2 and the effective reflecting surface to 0.007 sq. m at an irradiation angle of +/- 10 degrees.
The product is designed to engage targets with pre-known coordinates, unlike the S-71M missile, which is capable of independently performing optoelectronic monitoring, target identification, and their final engagement.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that Russia presented the modernized BMP-1AM "Basurmanin" combat vehicle. The vehicle received an anti-drone "barbecue" with a mesh screen, a set of additional protection 675-sb3KDZ, as well as a Triton-type electronic warfare system.
