Russian military personnel on the front lines are effectively using the Iskander-M operational-tactical complex to destroy enemy equipment, fortifications, and manpower. Rare footage of the installation's combat use has appeared online.
The video shows the missile launching from a carefully camouflaged position in the forest. The authors of the publication claim that the launch of the 9M723 quasi-ballistic missile was carried out "somewhere in the forests of Russia."
The Iskander-M is designed to destroy targets such as multiple launch rocket systems and missile complexes, long-range artillery, communication hubs and command posts, as well as helicopters and airplanes at airfields.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that the range of the system is up to 500 km. The starting mass of the missile is 3,800 kg, and the weight of the warhead is 480 kg. The temperature range of application is from -50 to +50 degrees.
