Localization of car production at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad will increase. Insiders have learned about this.
It turns out that in mid-August, representatives of the plant met with domestic suppliers of auto components. Among them are Ecopole-Trade (production sites in the Samara and Nizhny Novgorod regions), which produces paints and varnishes, Knauf Penoplast from St. Petersburg, which is engaged in stuffing seats and interiors, and Link Plant from the Nizhny Novgorod region, which specializes in wiring.
If negotiations with suppliers are successful, the cars produced at Avtotor will become more localized.
As a reminder, Chinese JMC, Jetour, Kaiyi, BAIC, SWM, Foton, Dongfeng Sokon, and electric Amberavto vehicles are coming off the assembly line of the enterprise.
