The Pilugin Research and Production Center for Automation and Instrumentation (NPСAP, part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) has developed the first Russian import-substituted sprocket electric drive. It was presented at the Army-2024 forum.
The new sprocket drive is designed for use in aggressive environments and vacuum. The model is compact, energy-efficient and has the ability to accurately transmit data without additional sensors.
The development is planned to be used to create aerodynamic control drives, in civil industries, in the aerospace sector and the oil and gas industry. The goal of the new development is to reduce costs and reduce the dependence of Russian industry on foreign equipment.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Roscosmos will supply radio beacons to Russian watches.
