A new Russian excursion train has been launched in China. It currently runs near the border with Primorye. In the future, the route will be extended to Moscow and Vladivostok.
The first trip of the "Changluhhao" tourist train took place on August 8 this year. The entire journey takes three hours, its length is 68 km. The first route runs along the Tumen River through China.
The opening of the route will become a new hallmark connecting tourism in China, Russia and North Korea, and will give impetus to the development of border tourism in Jilin Province.
The interior of the train is styled after the imperial trains of the Russian Empire. Passengers will be treated to national dishes of Russian cuisine on board.
The goal of the initiative is cultural exchange between Russian and Chinese students.
