Specialists of the SKB-2 bureau "Ground-based power plants" (part of the military-industrial holding "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant", KMZ) have developed a device for generating high-temperature gas. Such products are among the most demanded in the energy and industry sectors. This was reported by the holding's press service.
Design engineer Nikolai Boldenkov worked on the product. He explained that the burner device is designed to generate high-temperature gas (800°C) to heat the tube bundle.
The tube bundle is the filling of the heat exchanger. The burner device will pump gases into the barrel, which will heat the tubes. And air or oil will move through the pipes, depending on the consumer.
The KMZ press service added that the maximum gas flow rate is 120 kg/s, and the pressure is 0.8 MPa. The fuel components of the burner device are natural gas and air.
