The Kalashnikov concern (part of Rostec) has developed KUB guided munitions for the Russian military. The state corporation showed unique footage of the shells being tested.
Rostec noted that the products are designed to destroy group and single armored vehicles in the tactical depth of the enemy. They have already proven themselves well on the front lines.
"KUBs" are supplied to the troops in accordance with the state defense order. The improvement of the line of these loitering munitions is carried out in close cooperation with the customer. Modernized versions of the "KUB" with increased power are now being shipped to the troops.
Detailed data on the performance characteristics of the shells are unknown. According to data from open sources, it can be concluded that the "KUB" accelerates to 130 km/h and is capable of carrying up to 3 kg of payload.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces began using a new type of missile to defeat the enemy. They fly much further and are twice as accurate thanks to the built-in engine.
