И камнем вниз: российский Ми-8 сдул дрон противника потоком воздуха

The copter got caught in the rotor's airflow and crashed to the ground

A Russian Mi-8 helicopter managed to get rid of a pursuing drone in an original way. The copter could not stay in the air and fell down.

According to experts, the fpv drone could simply have been blown away by the powerful airflow created by the helicopter's multi-meter control rotor.

Alternatively, the air vehicle's control electronics, which are sensitive to electromagnetic interference, simply refused to function correctly when the control channel was jammed and damaged by an overabundance of "garbage frequencies." This is exactly how the onboard electronic warfare system of the Russian Aerospace Forces' helicopter aviation works.

Technical characteristics of the Mi-8:

  • Crew — 2+1 people
  • Maximum take-off weight — 13,000 kg
  • Engine — GTD Klimov TV3-117
  • Power — 2*1620 kW
  • Max. speed — 250 km/h
  • Practical flight range — 950 km
  • Practical ceiling — 5000 m

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces began to use a new type of missile to defeat the enemy. They fly significantly further and are twice as accurate thanks to the built-in motor.
