PJSC "KAMAZ" continues to improve the trucks of the K5 line. Thus, the engineers of the truck giant worked on import substitution of components and managed to get rid of the childhood diseases of model 54901, which owners complained about since 2023.
The chief truck designer Igor Valeev told reporters that there have been no negative reviews of this model since March 2024.
After the restart of production, we observe the absence of claims, complaints from consumers.
According to him, the plant has found partners from related industries to import-substitute a number of components, in addition, other equipment was purchased and various new technologies were applied. In total, 3067 model 54901 tractors have been assembled since the beginning of this year.
Recall that model 54901 became the first representative of the flagship K5 line. It appeared in 2019. After the departure of foreign partners and the imposition of sanctions against the plant, the truck giant had to find new suppliers for more than 2 thousand parts. The updated version of KAMAZ-54901 was created on a new component base and appeared on the market in 2023.
