The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation (Ministry of Digital Affairs) has begun creating a unified platform to protect citizens from cybercriminals and telephone scammers.
Law enforcement agencies, the Bank of Russia, financial organizations, telecom operators and other departments will participate in the new platform.
The first stage of creating the platform is planned to be completed by the end of 2026.
The platform will be aimed at promptly countering telephone scammers, cybercriminals, imposition of services, as well as phishing — obtaining confidential user data through fake messages or websites.
It will help automate the interaction of authorized bodies and organizations, including monitoring personal data leaks.
The new system will also allow preventive measures to combat Internet fraudsters.
