In July 2024, 136.2 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 42.4% more than in July last year and 9.5% more than in June 2024. This was reported by «AUTOSTAT» with reference to the data of JSC «PPK».
After sales growth from January to March, a decrease was observed in April-June, but in July volumes increased again. However, this result is still lower than the sales level in April (137 thousand units) and March (146.5 thousand), while March became the month with the highest sales since May 2021.
LADA continues to lead the market, with sales in July amounting to 35.6 thousand units, which is more than 26% of the total volume.
Four Chinese brands also exceeded the mark of 10 thousand cars sold: Haval (16.7 thousand units), Chery (14.2 thousand), Geely (13.1 thousand) and Changan (11.4 thousand). These brands together make up 66.8% of the market.
Among the models, LADA Granta remains in first place with a circulation of 18.2 thousand copies. In second place is LADA Vesta (9.8 thousand). The most popular foreign car is still the Haval Jolion crossover (8.3 thousand). The Chery Tiggo 7 PRO Max crossover also crossed the mark of 5 thousand cars, reaching 6.1 thousand units.
