The holding company "Ruselectronics" now produces a line of 35 fully domestic radiation-resistant microwave switches

The switches will be presented for the first time at the joint exposition of the "Ruselectronics" holding at the "Army-2024" forum in the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center from August 12 to 14, 2024.

Specialists from the Saratov NPP "Almaz," part of the Rostec State Corporation holding, have developed and manufacture 35 different types of radiation-resistant microwave switches. These include R-type waveguide microwave switches and C- and T-type coaxial microwave switches. Each has its own unique electrical parameters and tasks.

The new microwave switches are primarily intended to ensure the technological independence of the Russian rocket and space industry. A single satellite requires up to 20 ultra-high-frequency signal amplifiers, as well as transceiver equipment. All equipment is interconnected by microwave paths, which include microwave switches that provide system redundancy and signal transmission with minimal loss.

Waveguide switches are designed to operate as part of modern satellite communication, navigation, telecommunications, and repeater platforms. These devices allow for the switching of microwave signals between three channels. Coaxial microwave switches are also designed for use in modern spacecraft. In addition, devices of this type are widely used in ground-based systems, such as antennas, measuring equipment, and parameter control installations.

All microwave switches are fully domestic: from the materials used to manufacture the parts to the electronic component base. In particular, the microwave switches use actuators manufactured by the Special Design Bureau for Relay Technology (SKTB RT, part of "Ruselectronics").
