AvtoVAZ today launched sales of the most "sporty" Lada Granta – Lada Granta Sport. The car received a boosted 1.6-liter engine and two body styles – sedan and liftback.
The new Granta boasts a sports suspension with "stiffened" shock absorbers and springs. The intake and exhaust systems, fuel system and gas distribution mechanism have been redesigned – they are new. Of course, there was also a new ECU firmware.
The engine output was increased to 118 hp, the suspension was lowered by 20 mm. A lower center of gravity promises better handling in corners, but the car has clearly lost in cross-country ability. AvtoVAZ speaks of "dynamic acceleration", but the Lada Granta Sport barely gets out of 10 seconds.
The car is equipped with special soft tires, they provide better grip on the road. Disc brakes on both axles: they have been improved, and the brakes are now less prone to overheating. The body kit, tested in the AVTOVAZ wind tunnel, allows you to optimally distribute the lift force along the axles, as well as reduce the lift coefficient by up to 45%.
What about the interior of the "charged" Granta? The equipment, alas, is not rich: two airbags, air conditioning, heated front seats, an audio system with 4 speakers, ABS. The cost of the sedan is 1,249,900 rubles, the liftback is 1,289,900 rubles.
