In Moscow polyclinics, a service to assist therapists based on artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has been introduced for adult patients. The digital assistant assesses the information in the electronic medical record and makes a diagnosis. The Moscow Mayor's Office stated that the AI assistant offers a second opinion. Thus, it can support the doctor, excluding the human factor.
It is noted that the service analyzes patient complaints, test results, and examination protocols. Based on this data, it can make a more accurate diagnosis. At the same time, as explained in the Mayor's Office, AI does not replace the doctor, but becomes his assistant. But the final decision always remains with the medical professional. Currently, the accuracy of the service's diagnoses is 87%.
AI technologies began to be used in Moscow polyclinics at the end of 2020. During this time, about 12 million preliminary diagnoses were made with the help of a digital assistant. The AI module is part of a unified medical information and analytical system.
Artificial intelligence technologies are actively used in almost all areas, including robotics. Earlier www1.ru wrote that a domestic anthropomorphic robot RDI, developed in Perm, was presented at VDNH, which can communicate with a person thanks to AI.
